Course Setter's Notes:

Alasa Farm is a technically challenging map with some trails, reentrants and water features.  The full range of courses will be available along with instruction.  We will start at the Crackerbox palace animal rescue center which is an animal shelter for farm animals.  Bring your carrots and lettuce so you can make friends with the donkey!

There have been some map updates but not extensively.  The major trails are shown with the thick trail symbol and also have trail markers or hash marks.  Older trails are mapped as indistinct and look more like rides with some undergrowth. The undergrowth does have some thorny bushes but these can be avoided or run through in the less dense areas.

Overall the woods are dry with very little running water in the reentrants.  There are numerous bare muddy spots that usually would be swampy.  There are very few mosquitos and other insects.

Many reentrants have very steep sides which can be slippery.  It is not recommended to cross these straight on when there are multiple contour lines.

String-O will be available to show off your speed!

Instruction is available at all events, just ask at the registration table.  Feel free to bring friends and family.

Pre-packaged snacks, fruit and jugs of water/Gatorade will be available.
